The stork – symbolic of an intact environment – was once a nesting bird typical of the fields of northern Germany. Intensive farming, over-fertilisation and drainage of the land, however, have robbed the stork of its habitat over the years. A habitat that also sustains other birds and animals.
The Stork Foundation – Storks for our children – is keen to preserve this habitat for the stork, for ourselves and for our children. And you can actively help us achieve this!
