Trainee Finance & Controlling

As international Trainee Finance & Controlling, you like numbers, are cosmopolitan and enjoy rising to challenges. You work with us from our location in Halle (Westphalia), assisting with the controlling of all Storck cash flows and helping to ensure that the business with candies, chocolate, fruit gums and foam kisses pays off. Supported by your personal mentor at every step throughout the trainee programme, you gradually grow into the responsibilities of your position.

Now your passion for numbers and financial processes is in demand.
Your plan: career steps with extensive support.

The international trainee programme forms the foundation of your future finance career. It begins with a 6-month stint in Accounting. This is where you contribute your expertise in external accounting and, among other things, assist with the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements. In the following 12 months you familiarise yourself with essential controlling procedures, processes and tools, thereby acquiring in-depth, specialised knowledge. This includes for example the contribution margin calculation and reporting as well as participation in new product projects, where you prepare information relevant for decision making by company management.

Subsequently you are deployed in related areas for a total of 2 months to acquire a sound understanding of processes. In IT, you're assisting colleagues with projects to gain an understanding of the big picture. Your time in Personnel Management serves to familiarise you with that department’s processes. During your time in Logistics, you learn about merchandise planning for finished goods, materials management, production planning and shipping. You also spend time in Sales. Here you gain insights into customer management and business support.

After 20 months in the central departments, you are perfectly prepared to assume an exciting task at one of our international business units for 4 months. Here you assist with projects at the national and international levels.

The sequence of the individual steps may vary.

Your profile: full of passion and motivation.

With the trainee programme, you lay the foundation for your future at Storck. We therefore place great emphasis on a really good fit.

This includes that you are motivated by working as part of an outstanding team, that you recognise and systematically utilise design and decision-making freedom, and that you enjoy assuming responsibility and love international challenges.

In short: you exhibit motivation and are passionate about what you do.

We also require an economics course of study completed with above-average marks, preferably with a finance orientation. Your passion for the world of finance has already been documented with relevant internships or corresponding professional training. Initial experience or studies abroad along with very good English skills complete your profile.

Your prospects: a career with a future.

The international trainee programme is your first career step. After acquiring extensive know-how through the programme, you get to put it to use. You are assured of a future at Storck: as Accounting Manager in Accounting or as Controller in Central Controlling. Where do you go from there? We will plan that together. You are assured of our ongoing, extensive support.
